AskCelesta is operated by the AskCelesta developers. Questions, feedback, and privacy or deletion requests can be sent to askcelesta@gmail.com.
Guest chart calculations
You can calculate a natal chart without creating an account. The birth details you enter—name, date, time, city, coordinates, and timezone—are sent to the AskCelesta server so it can calculate the chart. They are not added to a saved-chart account unless you create an account or save the chart.
Accounts and saved charts
If you create an account, AskCelesta stores your email address and a securely hashed password. For each saved chart, it stores the chart name, birth date and time, city, coordinates, timezone, calculated positions and aspects, and a random share token. Synastry requires an account and two saved charts.
Use a nickname or non-identifying chart name when a real name is unnecessary. Do not save another person's birth information without their permission.
Public share links
When you share a chart or synastry link, anyone who has that link can view the linked chart data or compatibility view without logging in. Share tokens are designed to be difficult to guess, but the link is still public to anyone who receives or copies it. Do not publish a link containing information you want to keep private.
Readings and artificial intelligence
AskCelesta's astronomical calculations and chart visualizations are produced by software calculations, not by generative AI. Some interpretive reading text was created with the assistance of AI during content development. AskCelesta does not send your personal birth details to a generative-AI service when you open those prepared readings.
Astrological interpretations are for reflection and entertainment. They are not medical, legal, financial, or mental-health advice and should not be used to make high-stakes decisions.
Analytics and browser storage
AskCelesta uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate product usage and referral campaigns. Analytics events are designed not to include names, email addresses, birth details, chart tokens, or reading text. Google may process device, browser, network, and usage information under the Google Privacy Policy.
The site also uses a login session cookie, local storage for interface preferences, and session storage for referral information. Browser or content-blocking settings may limit analytics and local storage.
Retention and deletion
Saved account and chart data remains stored until it is deleted. You can delete individual charts from the chart manager. To request deletion of your entire account and its saved charts, email askcelesta@gmail.com from the address registered to the account with the subject “AskCelesta account deletion.” We may ask you to verify control of that email address before deletion.
A previously copied share link stops working after its underlying saved chart is deleted. Copies or screenshots made by other people cannot be recalled by AskCelesta.
Security and responsible use
AskCelesta uses HTTPS in production, password hashing, authenticated ownership checks for saved charts, and random public share tokens. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so avoid entering information that is not needed to calculate or label a chart.
