Source-first publishing
Every indexable public-figure chart links to the source used for its birth input and displays a confidence label. AskCelesta calculates from that input; it does not convert an uncertain time into a certain one.
Curated records
Selected high-interest charts cite the corresponding Astro-Databank record so readers can review collector notes, revisions, conflicting reports, and the published Rodden rating. AskCelesta does not spider or republish Astro-Databank biographies or source notes.
Public catalog dataset
The scalable catalog uses the VedAstro 15,000 Famous People Birth Date & Location dataset, distributed under the MIT license. Imported fields include the source row key, name, birth date and time, recorded UTC offset, place, coordinates, and publisher-supplied Rodden rating.
Dataset-backed records are published only when the dataset marks them AA and they pass identity, coordinate, duplication, and calculation checks. AskCelesta has not independently inspected each underlying certificate.
How to read confidence
- AA: publisher reports a birth record or similarly strong documentary source.
- A: time reported by the person or a close source.
- B: time reported through biography or another secondary source.
- Conflicting or unknown: use caution; houses and Rising sign may be unreliable.
The label describes the reported source chain, not a guarantee by AskCelesta.
Corrections
Email askcelesta@gmail.com with the page URL, proposed correction, and a publicly reviewable primary or reputable source. Corrections can change the chart and its modification date; withdrawn records are removed from the public sitemap.
